Illinois Department of Transportation, 95th and Stony Island Feeder Ramp - Chicago, IL
This project involved providing construction management services for a $90M, 5-mile reconstruction and enhancement project for IDOT. The project consisted of the reconstruction of seven interstate bridges, five miles of resurfacing, drainage improvement, and various safety enhancements. Areas of focus: timeline and budget adherence; clarification of state procedures, documentation and specifications; department representation at weekly progress meetings as liaison between IDOT, the consultants and contractors.
PTB 193 Item 41 - Environmental Services for the Chicago Region Environmental & Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program, Office of Intermodal Project Implementation (OIPI), Bureau of Rail.
Work consist of but not be limited to Environmental Survey Request Forms (ESRF), Environmental Class of Action Determination (ECAD), Preliminary Environmental Site Assessments (PESA) and Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI) for CREATE Projects. Work may also consist of conducting route surveys, land surveys, hydraulic surveys, hydraulic analysis, geometric studies, environmental assessment, and location and design studies for new construction/major reconstruction, railroad structures, hazardous waste assessment, and preparing Project Reports. This work included data collection, development of track alignment alternatives, cost estimates, signal layout, traffic/train management analysis, accident analysis, bridge condition reports, hydraulic reports, PESAs, PSIs, type, size and location (TS&L) drawings, structure plans and other related work and exhibits necessary to produce the Project Reports.
Illinois Department of Transportation, 99th and Cottage Grove Total Reconstruction – Chicago, IL
Provided inspection services on a $6M bridge removal and replacement project for the Illinois Department of Transportation. Areas of focus: calculation of piling, forming processes and procedures, soil and concrete testing, inspection of rebar by FHWA standards, assurance of surveyors’ accuracy, shot elevations for fillets, bearing seats, roadway alignment and other items to ensure accuracy; and measurement of over 150 items for payment.
