The project called for the installation of the water main and electrical duct bank in the arrivals area in terminals 1, 2, and 3. Both utilities were primarily installed under the commercial lanes with little work outside.

 

Maintenance of Traffic Plans for lower level of O’Hare traffic. Traffic loop included Arrivals as well as the recirculation loop. Plans were made to include all 5 Phases of construction. Work included:

 

• staging areas;

• adjusting lane tapers; and

• channelizing drums to guide traffic.

 

In addition to reducing the number of lanes, we also included plans for narrowing lanes and restriping lanes to have a continuous traffic flow for this very active area for passengers needing transportation to leave the airport.
